NÄKKI

NÄKKI

Näkki is an exploration of the traditional craft of mirror-making. Inspired by Scandinavian folklore and the glass works of Finnish architect Aino Aalto, the mirrors assume the shape of three-dimensional reflective water ripples.

Näkki is the folkloric tale of a mystical water spirit who lurks in lakes, ponds and the murky waters below bridges, captivating those who lean over in search of their own reflection.
